At the age of eight, Ebony entered the Max Fatchen Competition and came second for the state of South Australia. From this moment, Ebony knew her potential and her direction to songwrite and persue a career in music.

In 2006, Ebony entered songwriting competitions for the first time. She entered three competitions and won awards in all of them.
* Runner up in the 2006 International Song of the Year in the USA in the Pop/Rock section (December 2006)
* Winner of the South Australian 2006 ASME Young Composers Awards in Pop/Rock section (November 2006)
* Certificate of Merit in the 2006 Australian Songwriters Association Awards in the Pop/Rock section (August 2006)

This is a huge achievement as at he time Ebony was only 13 years old, and as her music teachers and examiners have mentioned, Ebony has a big future ahead of her.

Music and family are Ebony's life. Ebony has two younger sisters who are also musically talented. Ebony has been attending vocal and piano lessons since the age of 9.

Ebony has performed at many events including Christmas concerts, Eisteddfords, vocal competitions, high school functions and many others.

Ebony is also involved in the Clare High School Band, Clare Concert Band, Adelaide Rock School Band and is in the process of starting up an all girls band with her sister Brittany, who plays guitar and friends.
